Laurel Schools Performance Details:

General Details:

  • We hold two performances each year:

    • Winter (before the December winter break) 

    • Spring (usually at the end of May). The dates of the annual performances are included on published school calendars over a year in advance.

  • Each performance is presented two nights in a row. Children from the Elementary and our 3-6 Preschool (Tree, Forest, Pond, Garden) rooms perform both nights. The shows are identical.

  • The performances are held in the auditorium of the main building which can host only 50% of our parent population at one time. Parents are invited to only one of the performance days and are asked to RSVP through the link in the email we send out approximately 4 weeks in advance of the shows.

  • Shows generally run from 4pm - 5:15pm. If you arrive late you will not be admitted until the current number/piece is finished. (Just like at the opera!)

Spring Festival 2023 Performance Details:

  • Dates: Wednesday, May 24th and Thursday, May 26th

  • Location: School Auditorium (Main Building)

  • Start Time: 4pm

  • Run time: 

    • Act 1: 4pm - 4:45pm

    • Intermission - 15 minutes

    • Act 2: 5pm - 5:30pm

Important Details for PRESCHOOL Performers (Tree, Forest, Pond, Garden):

  • PICK UP: Children will be performing in Act 1 both days of the performance: 

    • On the day you are attending you have two options:

      • Leave after Act 1(your child will be finished performing). Pick them up at their classroom.

      • Choose to stay for the entire performance. Your child’s classroom teachers will plan a secondary activity until the show is over.

        • Parents of TREE and POND rooms - Please pick up your children and their belongings at the Blue Gym (North Campus).

        • Parents of GARDEN and FOREST rooms - Please pick your children up from their classroom.

  • On the day you are NOT attending: Please plan to pick your child(ren) up after Act 1 at 4:45pm

    • Parents of TREE and POND rooms - Please pick up your children and their belongings at the Blue Gym (North Campus).

    • Parents of GARDEN and FOREST rooms - Please pick your children up from their classroom.
